The vision system is the primary payload of the UAV.

  • Students in the Vision Subsystem are responsible for designing and implementing a high-resolution vision system capable of autonomously determining the orientation, shape and colour of the targets from 30 to 100 m in altitude.
  • More specifically, they are responsible for manufacturing the gimbal stabilization system, which is capable of pointing the camera in a specified direction and to develop vision algorithms capable of automated target recognition and target position identification.
